NYDocs is a coalition of health workers and groups committed to advancing social justice and improving the health of every New Yorker. We recognize that injustice is inseparable from poor health, and we work to undo these inequities. We seek universal and equitable access to affordable and high-quality opportunities and resources that promote the health of every person and community—especially those who are excluded, marginalized, or stigmatized. We build community as an antidote to authoritarian strategies that erode democracy, undermine knowledge, scapegoat the most marginalized, and create scarcity. We supply health expertise and health worker presence in support of existing organizations, campaigns, causes, and movements led by marginalized people and communities. Alongside and amplifying those most impacted, we are stepping forward in our white coats and scrubs to fight for broader socioeconomic justice that creates health equity.
We meet over video conference on third Sundays from 7:30 - 9 pm. RSVP for meetings on our Contact page.
